A leading mining organization is seeking a Mine Engineer to support short- and medium-term mine planning at a key site in Nevada, with potential opportunities available at other U.S. locations. This is a prime role for a technically strong engineer who enjoys being outdoors, working directly with operations, and playing an integral role in production, surveying, and future site development. You’ll lead monthly volume and topographic surveys, maintain and update mining models, develop and communicate detailed mine plans, and help drive site performance to budget and ore inventory targets. You’ll also support exploratory drilling, ore quality tracking, and collaborate with the corporate technical team to lay the foundation for long-term quarry strategy. In this role, you’ll: Conduct monthly drone-based volume surveys in active mining areas and ore stockpiles for reconciliation and planning accuracy Update pit and dump topography and maintain mine models to support short-term and long-term planning Survey and track ore zone boundaries to maximize ore recovery and improve extraction practices Develop short- and medium-term mine plans , communicate them clearly to site operators, and help maintain operational budgets and ore inventory targets Coordinate exploratory drilling campaigns , including layout design, sample collection, and integration of ore quality data into isopach models Collaborate with corporate geology and mining teams to align day-to-day activities with broader quarry development goals Audit and train site teams on ore sampling protocols and survey measurement procedures as needed Broaden your career across multiple U.S. locations , with potential mobility across quarry and mine sites Apply cutting-edge technology , including drone surveys, GPS surveying, and CAD-based mine planning tools Work in a hybrid field-office environment , with opportunities for both strategic input and direct site execution Gain hands-on experience coordinating exploratory drilling and improving ore recovery practices Relocation assistance may be available for qualified candidates Seniority level Mid-Senior level Employment type Full-time Job function Mining Referrals increase your chances of interviewing at Walker Lovell by 2x Get notified about new Mining Engineer jobs in Tennessee, United States . #J-18808-Ljbffr
