The Director of Wireless Services is responsible for leading and overseeing all wireless telecommunications construction and deployment operations at a premier telecommunications infrastructure services company focused on innovative and reliable connectivity solutions. This role manages large-scale wireless infrastructure projects, including macro tower builds, small cell deployments, DAS installations, and network upgrades for major carriers. The Director will provide strategic leadership to project management and construction teams, ensuring projects are completed safely, on schedule, within budget, and in compliance with carrier and regulatory standards.

Key Responsibilities

  • Oversee all wireless telecommunications construction and deployment projects across assigned markets or regions.
  • Manage and lead teams including Construction Managers, Project Managers, Field Supervisors, and subcontractors.
  • Direct wireless infrastructure projects including:
  • Macro tower construction and modifications
  • Small cell and 5G deployments
  • DAS (Distributed Antenna Systems) installations
  • Antenna and line installations
  • Carrier equipment upgrades and integrations
  • Ensure compliance with carrier specifications, safety standards, and regulatory requirements.
  • Manage project budgets, forecasting, and cost controls to ensure profitability.
  • Oversee project schedules, milestones, and deliverables to meet client deadlines.
  • Maintain strong relationships with wireless carriers, vendors, municipalities, and subcontractors.
  • Monitor operational performance and implement improvements to increase efficiency and productivity.
  • Support business development and client relations, including assisting with proposals, contract negotiations, and new market expansion.
  • Ensure field operations follow OSHA, NATE, and company safety guidelines.
  • Provide leadership, mentorship, and development opportunities for team members.

Qualifications

  • 10+ years of experience in wireless telecommunications construction or infrastructure deployment.
  • 5+ years of leadership or senior management experience overseeing wireless operations.
  • Strong knowledge of:
  • Wireless network infrastructure
  • Tower construction and structural modifications
  • 5G and small cell deployment
  • Carrier equipment installation
  • Experience managing large-scale multi-market wireless projects.
  • Strong financial management skills including budgeting, forecasting, and cost control.
  • Excellent leadership, communication, and project management skills.
  • Ability to travel as needed to support operations and project sites.

Preferred Experience

  • Experience working with major wireless carriers such as **AT&T, Verizon, T-Mobile, or Dish Wireless.
  • Familiarity with carrier standards, closeout documentation, and integration processes.
  • Knowledge of NTP, RFDS, site acquisition, and construction lifecycle processes.
  • Experience managing subcontractor networks and large field operations teams.

Compensation & Benefits

Salary Range: $150,000 to $170,000 DOE (could be increased for aligned experience)
