Purchasing Manager (Bilingual Korean required)\n\nTimpl had partnered up with a global EV battery manufacturing company and is\nlooking for a Purchasing Manager\n\nSummary:\nIn this role, you will support managing purchasing team members and organizing\nand assigning the tasks. You will source and select global-level suppliers and\nmaximizing investment efficiency, in order to improve the business\ncompetitiveness. The purchasing team includes raw material and custom process -\nteam is MRO - material repair operations/Construction material/ economic\nreports. You will act as a liaison between US and Korea and be responsible for\ntranslation between the two teams for purchasing documents and materials\nordered.\n\nResponsibilities:\n * Provide weekly/monthly/annual reports to leadership and headquarters \n * Analyze and maintain open dialogue on purchasing projections from different\n vendors\n * Review supplier requests for payment status, invoice information, data,\n budget checks and follow-up for proper process methodology\n * Communicate feedback received regarding purchasing/process to headquarters\n and team\n * Understand changes to policies from headquarters and communicate to\n purchasing team \n * Responsible for standardizing system, managing process improvement between\n headquarters, Poland, and China (different locations) and other places making\n sure they are followed in US\n * Analyze new project contracts assessing risk management, documenting changes,\n document management and ensure registration in system\n * Work with legal team to ensure contracts are approved\n * Develop KPIs on yearly basis - following up monthly to ensure meet - CI rate\n - negotiation rate from supplier / PO issued - set target and then follow up-\n target rate based on global set from headquarters\n * Check dates and closing dates and ensure meet on time delivery on all PO's.\n * Collect previous month's reports and categorize what is purchased, sharing\n with team members and report to headquarters\n * Evaluate suppliers by category on an annual basis - MRO/Construction/economic\n reports and forward to headquarters\n * Maintain cleanliness at work-site in accordance with 5S3R Standards:\n * Sort, Set in order, Shine, Standardize, Sustain\n * Right Location, Right Quantity, Right Container\n * Conduct thorough and timely Layered Process Audits in appropriate work areas\n * Perform other duties as assigned\n\n\nQualifications:\n * Bachelor's degree required, MBA or MS preferred, or equivalent, relevant\n experience\n\nExperience:\n * 7 to 10+ years of purchasing experience\n * 3 to 6+ years of experience leading and managing multiple processes\n * Experience developing and managing KPI's\n * Experience in a manufacturing environment preferred\n * Experience in orders/settlements/contracts for outsourcing construction\n * Experience creating and executing career succession plans with the department\n\n\nSkills:\n * Finance and Accounting knowledge\n * Proven global sourcing skills (General purchasing part management)\n * Expertise in negotiation/bargaining\n * MS Office Suite\n * Proficient written and verbal communication skills\n * Problem solving and analytical skills\n * Multi-task and meet deadlines\n * Ability to work flexible hours as needed to support and work with HQ and\n global sites\n\n\n
