Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN)

Private Duty Home Care | Standard & Floater Roles Available

Private Duty is seeking compassionate, dependable Licensed Practical Nurses (LPNs) to provide high-quality, one-on-one nursing care in a private duty home care setting. Opportunities are available for both standard private duty assignments (consistent clients) and floater roles (supporting multiple clients/locations as needed).

These positions are ideal for LPNs who value personalized care, strong patient relationships, and making a meaningful impact in a home environment. Floater roles are best suited for nurses who enjoy variety, adaptability, and supporting care continuity across multiple homes.

• Nashville, TN
• Antioch, TN
• Murfreesboro, TN
• Nolensville, TN
• Lebanon, TN
• Hartsville, TN
• Pleasant View, TN
• Gallatin, TN
• Columbia, TN
• Arrington, TN
• Springfield, TN
• Joelton, TN

(Floater roles may travel between select locations as assigned.)

Key Responsibilities

• Provide direct, one-on-one nursing care in clients' homes
• Administer medications and treatments as prescribed, within scope of practice
• Monitor patient conditions and report changes to the care team
• Assist with activities of daily living (ADLs) as needed
• Perform routine nursing tasks such as wound care, vital signs, and basic treatments
• Educate patients and families on care routines and health management
• Maintain accurate and timely documentation of care provided
• Ensure a safe, clean, and comfortable environment for clients
• For Floater roles: adapt quickly to different home settings and patient needs

Qualifications

• Active Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) license in the state of employment
• Previous private duty or home care experience preferred
• Strong clinical and observational skills
• Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities
• Ability to work independently and provide consistent, patient-focused care
• Compassionate, reliable, and professional demeanor
• Reliable transportation (required for Floater roles)
• Current CPR certification
