This is a unique opportunity to practice in a community setting and be a part of a leading, nationally ranked children’s hospital with a strong academic and clinical mission.
\nHIGHTLIGHTS
\nThe role is employed by the Medical College of Wisconsin and provides care at Children’s Wisconsin locations in Northeast Wisconsin. Both organizations are based in the Milwaukee area. The Medical College of Wisconsin pediatric specialty providers who work at the nationally ranked Children’s Wisconsin are members of Children’s Specialty Group, a strong group practice of more than 775 elite pediatric specialty physicians, advanced practice nurses and physician assistants.
\nABOUT THE DIVISION
\nThe division includes 11 pediatric endocrinologists and 6 advanced practice providers. In addition, the division includes three Type 1 diabetes basic science research faculty. We serve children of Northeast and Southeast Wisconsin and beyond.
\nChildren's Wisconsin Pediatric Endocrinology and Diabetes Program provides care for children and teens with diabetes and endocrine disorders from general pediatric endocrine conditions to sub-specialized, interdisciplinary clinics for rare/ complex conditions. The Diabetes Program at Children's Wisconsin is one of the largest in the country, serving more than 2000 children with type 1 and type 2 diabetes, offering clinical trials, diabetes prevention clinics, and a screening program for siblings of children with type 1 diabetes.
\nOur Endocrinology and Diabetes program is named among the nation's best in U.S. News & World Report’s 2024-25 Best Children’s Hospital report.

\nThis position is located in Northeast Wisconsin as part of an innovative collaboration between Children’s Wisconsin, Bellin Health and ThedaCare. These top-quality health care organizations are partnering to improve the health and well-being of children and adolescents in Northeast Wisconsin and the Upper Peninsula of Michigan through a collaboration called Connected for Kids. This role offers the opportunity to collaborate with primary and specialty care providers at these organizations to improve patient outcomes. The connection between the organizations helps position our physicians to successfully support the needs of patients and their families.

\nIn Northeast Wisconsin, Children’s Wisconsin is expanding its services to provide increased access to outstanding pediatric subspecialty care. This includes a pediatric hospital, with a Pediatric Unit, Level III NICU and Infusion Center, which is located at ThedaCare Regional Medical Center in Neenah, Wis. A multispecialty pediatric ambulatory clinic with on-site laboratory and radiology services opened in Appleton, Wis. in 2023.
\nAs part of the Connected for Kids partnership, Children’s Wisconsin pediatric specialists have expanded procedural care within Green Bay. Pediatric specialty services will expand within a new pediatric & adolescent specialty clinic in Green Bay, opening in August of 2025. Children’s Wisconsin neonatology specialists will also work in partnership with Bellin Hospital to build a Level III NICU, within an innovative couplet model that provides both maternal and neonatal intensive care.
