Key Responsibilities Plan, organize, and conduct all varsity-level practices and competitions Develop and implement effective game strategies and training programs Foster a positive, inclusive, and disciplined team environment Mentor student-athletes in skill development, leadership, and character Collaborate with assistant coaches and athletic department staff Ensure compliance with school, district, and state athletic regulations Monitor student-athlete academic progress and eligibility Communicate effectively with players, parents, staff, and administration Oversee equipment, uniforms, and program budgeting Qualifications Previous coaching experience Strong knowledge of Basketball rules, techniques, and training methods Demonstrated leadership and organizational skills Ability to motivate and connect with student-athletes CPR/First Aid certification (or willingness to obtain) Coaching certification (or willingness to obtain) Preferred Attributes Commitment to sportsmanship, integrity, and student development Strong communication and conflict-resolution skills Experience building and sustaining successful athletic programs Ability to promote the program within the school and community Mountain Lake is a Equal Opportunity Employer
