Job Description

Position Summary

The EWC Growth Corporate team is growing! The Facilities Manager is a pivotal role ensuring operational efficiencies across all 52 center locations, ensuring all center locations operate efficiently, safely, and without interruption by overseeing infrastructure, facilities maintenance, center renovations, and vendor partnerships.

The ideal candidate is a hands-on problem solver who thrives in a fast-paced retail environment and enjoys balancing strategic planning with day-to-day operational support. This individual will work closely with Operations, Finance, HR, and external vendors to ensure every location delivers an exceptional guest and employee experience. Some key responsibilities include:

Facilities Management

  • Oversee preventative maintenance for all retail locations.
  • Manage repair requests from store leadership through completion.
  • Coordinate HVAC, plumbing, electrical, roofing, signage, and general repairs.
  • Build relationships with preferred local and national vendors.
  • Negotiate pricing and service agreements.
  • Conduct periodic facility inspections to identify maintenance needs.
  • Ensure stores meet OSHA and local safety requirements.
  • Monitor warranty programs and equipment lifecycle planning.

Vendor Management

  • Source, evaluate, and manage contractors and maintenance vendors.
  • Review invoices for accuracy and approve completed work.
  • Maintain vendor scorecards and service level expectations.
  • Negotiate contracts to reduce operating expenses while maintaining quality.

Capital Projects

  • Support new center openings, relocations, and remodels.
  • Coordinate installation of furniture, fixtures, equipment (FF&E), and technology.
  • Manage project timelines with landlords, contractors, and vendors.
  • Track project budgets and communicate progress to leadership.

Operational Support

  • Respond to urgent store issues requiring immediate attention.
  • Prioritize maintenance requests based on business impact.
  • Develop preventative maintenance schedules.
  • Create standard operating procedures for store maintenance and technology support.
  • Analyze recurring issues and recommend long-term solutions.
  • Support disaster recovery and emergency response planning.

Requirements

  • 5+ years of experience primarily supporting facilities maintenance in a multi-unit capacity; retail, healthcare, or hospitality industries preferred.
  • Excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving abilities.
  • Exceptional communication and customer service skills.
  • Strong organizational and documentation skills.
  • Vendor negotiation and contract management.
  • Budget management + technology asset management.
  • Preventative maintenance planning.
  • Work order management systems.
  • Basic knowledge of construction and building systems.
