About the Role:
Join ALIGN INTEGRATED CARE PLLC as a Certified Substance Abuse Counselor in Sandston, VA! We are looking for compassionate professionals to help individuals on their journey to recovery, providing support and guidance in a nurturing environment.

Responsibilities:

• Conduct individual and group counseling sessions for clients dealing with substance abuse issues.
• Develop and implement personalized treatment plans tailored to each client's needs.
• Case management assessments, activities, progress.
• Monitor client progress and adjust treatment plans as necessary.
• Provide crisis intervention and support to clients in need.
• Facilitate educational workshops and support groups for clients and their families.
• Maintain accurate and confidential client records in compliance with regulations.
• Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to ensure comprehensive care.
• Stay updated on best practices and trends in substance abuse treatment.

Requirements:

• Valid certification as a Substance Abuse Counselor (CSAC or equivalent).
• Experience in counseling individuals with substance use disorders.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work collaboratively within a team setting.
• Compassionate and non-judgmental demeanor towards clients.
• Documentation of assessments, treatment plans, individual notes, group notes, case management activities, and discharge summaries
• Knowledge of state and federal regulations regarding substance abuse treatment.
• Willingness to supervise and mentor new counselors.
• Commitment to ongoing professional development and training.
