Position Overview

Reporting to the Head of Production, the Associate Post Producer is an exempt, salaried position working out of our East Bay office. The APP manages projects from kickoff through final delivery, supporting color, sound and finishing workflows while ensuring a seamless client experience. This role partners closely with senior producers and department leads to maintain schedule, scope, and quality standards.

This is an ideal role for someone with solid post-production experience who is ready to take ownership of projects while continuing to grow within a high-end finishing environment.

Salary Range $70k - $95k

Core ResponsibilitiesProject Management

  • Manage multiple, simultaneous, assigned projects from kickoff through delivery
  • Coordinate conform, prep, review rounds, versioning, and final deliverables between client and artists
  • Track feedback, ensure revisions are executed accurately, QC postings and final deliverables
  • Monitor scope and flag potential overages or timeline risks
  • Collaborate with colorists, mixers, assistants, and freelancers
  • Manage time and resources, including for APP priorities, as well as artist time management across multiple projects

Client Communication

  • Serve as day-to-day client contact on assigned projects
  • Support attended and remote review sessions
  • Communicate timelines, deliverables, and feedback clearly
  • Maintain a professional, responsive, and solutions-oriented presence

Administrative Support

  • Track artist time against actuals / bids
  • Help manage change orders and scope adjustments
  • Support invoicing coordination and wrap documentation

Workflow Support

  • Understand finishing workflows including conform, color, mix, and delivery specs
  • Ensure proper media handling and file organization
  • Support archive and project closeout procedures
  • Help maintain internal systems and documentation

Studio Operations & Client Experience

  • Maintain cleanliness and presentation of all client-facing and communal spaces including delegation of cleaning tasks.
  • Stock kitchen and replenish office and production supplies
  • Oversee drive courier arrangements, shipping drives back to clients at wrap
  • Coordinate facilities needs and space allocation as required
  • Greet and support clients during sessions
  • Client hospitality (lunch orders, coffee, snacks, refreshments and catering as needed)

Qualifications

  • 3–5 years of post-production experience
  • Experience in commercial, branded, or long-form content
  • Working knowledge of color and sound finishing workflows
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
  • Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
